Bulldog Bash Brings Pop-Duo to Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Texas-based pop duo Surfaces will headline this year’s Bulldog Bash sponsored by the Mississippi State Student Association and Clark Beverage Group.
Set for Oct. 21, the state’s largest, free outdoor concert will be held at the intersection of Jackson and Main streets in downtown Starkville.
Bulldog Bash begins at 3 p.m. with Maroon Market, which includes local musicians on stage, art, food vendors and a kid zone.
At 6:30 p.m., the winner of Battle of the Bands, hosted by MSU’s Music Maker Productions, will perform on the Clark Beverage main stage.
Headliner Surfaces takes the stage at 9:30 p.m. Surfaces is an American music group based from College Station, Texas. It currently consists of vocalists/guitarists Forrest Frank and Colin Padalecki. Their music is a blend of jazz, soul, pop, hip hop, reggae, and calypso. They have released five studio albums. Surfaces rise 2-1 on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart, becoming the top emerging act in the U.S. for the first time thanks to the duo's breakthrough hit "Sunday Best."
Along with the Headliner, Bulldog Bash will also include supporting artists Bryce Vine and Evan Giia.
Bryce Ross-Johnson, known by his stage name Bryce Vine, is an American rapper and singer from Westlake Village, California. He ventured into a career of music in 2011 when he auditioned for The Glee Project. A year later, he signed with the record label Kiva House Lambroza and released an EP titled Lazy Fair. Vines top hits include “La La Land” and “Drew Barrymore”
Berklee College of Music Alumna Evan Giarrusso, better known as Evan Giia, is a Brooklyn-based musician and vocalist. Her first notable song was "Heat of The Moment" with music duo MEMBA, which was selected as the singles of the week by BBC Radio 1 in 2016. In September 2022, GIIA’s Don’t Let Me Let Go ( with Dillion Francis and ILLENIUM) Secured the number one position on US Dance Radio.
Proceeds from Bulldog Bash will benefit Starkville Strong. Starkville Strong is a philanthropic movement that provides a support system and continuum of care to Starkville residents that will improve the chances of finding and maintaining stability.
